In 1988 Bob became a licensed Business Brokers and joined Canadian Business Brokers (CBB). Later the president of CBB and Bob started a new company called Vancouver Business Brokers.

Bob was President of the Western Canada Business Brokers Association (WCBBA) for three consecutive years. In this position Bob provided education and training for its members, established a formal ethical procedure paper for Realtors. He was responsible for many of the commercial legal documents used by the Vancouver Real Estate Board (VREB). The WCBBA organization eventually merged with the VREB’s commercial division with Bob’s guidance.

Bob’s previous business background was as a business consultant providing professional advice in company turn-arounds.

The premier of B.C. hired Bob to make changes in the Queen’s Printer. He also was hired by the Canadian Daily Newspapers to operate their Nadbak division in Vancouver.

Bob’s earlier background was as an owner and publisher of a suburban group of community newspapers which also included commercial printing, forms printing, graphic arts, web offset press company and distribution company.

In founding and developing Astra Business Corporation, Bob has established affiliations with several large brokerage firms in North America and around the world. These affiliations provide business acquisition opportunities. Also Astra has access to their registered sellers and buyers.

He has a compelling desire to be successful in this chosen profession and his passion is backed by his business experience of over fifty years. He believes in integrity and fairness to all concerned.
